Maïmouna BA is a GPE youth leader from Burkina Faso. She is a young woman with a passion for humanitarian work, dedicated to supporting forcibly displaced women and children and low-income families in Burkina Faso and Africa.
She is inspired by her own story and the way education changed her life. Her commitment and deep humanity have earned her the prestigious UNHCR Nansen Refugee Award in 2024 and the Young Activists Summit Award in 2023.
Maïmouna, through the Maman Sahélienne Foundation, strives to be a powerful reminder of what compassion and action can achieve.
