The GPE funded program responds to the priorities identified in the 2018-2022 Eritrea education sector Plan and aims to ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all.

The program has the following three components:

• Expand Access and ensure Equity of General Education (pre-primary, elementary, and middle education), and Adult education.
• Improve Quality and relevance of education of all levels and sub-sectors of education.
• Enhance System Capacity and Management.
